The St Albans SSC, sports clubs and events are only open to current AECOM staff members. If you are an AECOM employee based in another AECOM office, you are more than welcome to join - we have several members who are based in Aldgate, Bedford and Croydon.

How do I become a member?
Complete this form, scan it, and email it to ssc@aecom.com and payroll.europe@aecom.com. Alternatively email Patsy.Coote@aecom.com who will be happy to send you a Word version of the form. You will receive a welcome email confirming that you have signed up.
For non-payroll staff, use this form.
How much does it cost?
St Albans SSC membership costs just £3.50 per month (for payroll members). There are no joining fees.
How is my money deducted?
The money is deducted from your payslip monthly.
Where does my money go?
Your £3.50 a month goes into a pot and another £3.50 is added on top from the company, plus other ad hoc company contributions. We use this pot of money to run annual/bi-annual events and weekly/monthly clubs. We offer up to 50% discount on the normal price for all annual/bi-annual events and most weekly/monthly clubs are completely free for members. We have a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Administrator, and a Committee who all play a part in deciding what we do and how we do it. We have various processes and procedures that we follow and we have signing off procedures for all money spent.
Can you give me more visibility over what you do?
We meet once a month in the St Albans Office. Anyone is welcome to come and attend these meetings – we mean it! Come and listen in and find out exactly what happens and have your say. Contact ssc@aecom.com to find out the date of our next meeting.

How do you decide on the calendar each year?
We repeat events that are highly successful and popular, so we have a set of events that will likely always be run. We are trying to introduce more family-friendly events. We try to run events/clubs that appeal to various people and will encourage our members to attend to get their money’s worth. We take ideas from members, by running an annual survey (see below for how to request a new event/club) and have started to introduce new events every year from the feedback we have received. We don’t run events/clubs again that turn out to be a bit of a flop!
How do I suggest a new event?
We are always open to new ideas and will try to incorporate them into our calendar. You can either fill this form to give us information, or email ssc@aecom.com and we can talk about your idea. The driving factors include the cost of the event and how many people it is likely to appeal to/it can accommodate. We must spend the pot wisely.
What about non-payroll members?
Please use the non-payroll application form. Non-payroll membership costs £7 a month, which is still a bargain when you consider discounts on events! The £7 a month covers the company contribution that we cannot claim for non-payroll members.
Note: This form is for AECOM employees who are not paid via payroll and are contractors. It is not for use by the general public.
What if I want to leave the SSC?
If you decide to cancel your membership at any time, we will be sorry to see you go and hope we can tell you more about what benefits you can get before you decide to leave. Email ssc@aecom.com to talk to us. If you do decide to go, it is a simple process and as long as it is requested by the 15th of any month, your next SSC payment will not be deducted.
Please note that there is a minimum 3 month membership period, meaning you will be unable to cancel your membership within the first three months after joining.
